Can I drop my child off each night or should I stay with them?
All players need to have a parent, guardian, family member, or family friend there with them each night. We are there to coach soccer and we can't keep an accounting of children if they need to use the restroom or get a drink from the drinking fountain. Parents can sit on the sidelines of the gym and watch as their children play. Parents are welcome to bring folding chairs as well.
What team will I be on?
For our Indoor House League, all children in each age group will be on the same team and divided up each night when it comes time to play the small sided games.
Who will coach?
For our Indoor House League, we use Hilbert College Men's and Women's Soccer Players to train players. These coaches all have a strong soccer background and look forward to coaching your children this year.
How do I know if soccer is cancelled on a given night?
If Hilbert College asks us to cancel due to inclement weather, soccer will be canceled that evening. If soccer is canceled, we will post on the website and Facebook. We will also send out an email to families as soon as possible. If, at any point, you believe it is unsafe to travel (due to weather conditions), please refrain from bringing your child to soccer for the night.
For the most part, there will be no make-up dates due to weather cancelations. If soccer is canceled many times, we will make every effort to schedule a make-up date if there is an opportunity to rent out more gym space.
Any other important information I need to know?
We must abide by the following rules to continue to rent out the gym space:
1. Please do not pass or kick soccer balls in the hallway, this may only be done in the gymnasium.
2. Players and parents should not enter any rooms or offices in the building aside from the gymnasium and restrooms. Please clean up any garbage you have brought into the building.
3. If it is wet outside, please wear boots and bring sneakers to play in. It is dangerous for players to be playing on a wet gym floor.
4. Parents or guardians should remain in the building with their minor children throughout the duration of the practice.
5. COVID-19 Policies are mandated by the State, County, and both the College’s and the Soccer Club’s governing bodies and insurance agencies so they must be adhered to by all. As the policies may change frequently, updated policies will be posted on the Indoor House League Page at www.hamburgsoccerclub.com. As of now, anyone over 2 years of age must wear a mask in the building. When on the field of play only, players do not have to wear a mask if they cannot tolerate it. They must still however, wear a mask in the bathrooms, hallway, and any other common areas.
